Requirements

Arla is a European dairy cooperative with a global reach, owned by 12,000 dairy farmers. Our local depot is based in Lockerbie, Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland.

The project involved the supply and installation of 1 megawatt 11000V Transformer, extension of the existing Genie EVO 11000V main switch board, installation of new LV switchboard and installation of new SWA cabling to serve the new chiller plant and work was undertaken by the electrical team at Derek Mitchell Group.

Approach

The electrical and structural installation work in this project consisted of the supply and installation of the following system:

Schneider Genie EVO 11000v circuit breaker
HV cabling
1 Mega Watt 11000V – 400V Transformer
LV Switchboard rated at 4500A
Sub-main cabling – chillers 1, 2 + 3

Result

The project was completed on time and within budget.
